P1M Nano Composite Polish



P1M Nano Composite Polish offers a fast, easily achievable, perfect finish, using fewer products, and fewer stages than traditional polishing systems, on both fibreglass and marine paint. The polish will only remove damaged fibreglass or paint molecules and will not compromise the durability of a yacht’s finish, as harsh polishing compounds do.

Why use Gtechniq P1M Nano Composite Polish?
Breakthroughs in nano-structured composite materials have allowed us to develop an incredibly uniform abrasive particle on the nanoscopic scale. This has allowed Gtechniq to manufacture a polish that requires almost no lubrication – giving it three major advantages over traditional polishes: 
  1. With many more active particles working the surface, the polish works faster with less effort
  2. Virtually no lubricant means there is no ‘drop back’ – the amount of lubricants in traditional polishes are designed to hide minor imperfections which are revealed again when the polish is washed off  - with P1M what you see is what you get
  3. Smaller active particle size means the surface does not heat up nearly as much, therefore it is less likely to burn through paint. The lack of heat also means you can make several passes over the same area to remove stubborn scratches, without the fear of over polishing


When tested against leading hand polishes P1M outperforms. And, because P1M does not use fillers, your yacht’s new finish that used a lot of elbow grease, will not deteriorate.

Plus instead of needing a cutting compound, medium compound, and finishing glaze - all of which require one, sometimes two, polishing pads - used in conjunction with Gtechniq’s pSystem HotSwap Pads, P1M will do the work of these three products with less holograms and as previously mentioned, no ‘drop back’.

This means that perfecting marine surfaces using Gtechniq P1M requires half the amount of passes with the rotary machine than with conventional systems, allowing for more time enjoying your boat than maintaining it. 
Storage and use
  • Make sure that the surface you are working on is not in direct sunlight
  • Shake the bottle vigorously before using
  • Make sure polishing pads are clean and free from particulates before use 
  • Make sure any surface you are working from is clean and contaminant free otherwise you will introduce new scratches on the surfaces while polishing 
  • If using a rotary tool to apply P1M, in the first instance, try using the medium foam pad. If the results you achieve by doing this are satisfactory then there is no need to use a more aggressive wool pad, if not then give the wool a go
  • When using the wool pad ensure that the fibres do not get clogged by excess product – clean a pad in a bucket of water or using a jet wash, make sure the pad is dry before use
  • Always keep a film of P1M Nano Composite Polish on the surface. If a pad is used without polish on the it will not only be achieving anything, it may also harm the paintwork or fibreglass
  • If the polish dries out on the surface as you are polishing, spritz the surface with a mist of water and this will reactivate the polish
  • It is best to polish with a rotary tool at between 900 and 1,200 rotations per minute (rpm), but remember when using higher rpm to use faster strokes
  • When finishing polishing always use the soft foam pad at a low rpm, this will remove any machine lines caused by the more aggressive wool pad
  • P1M Nano Composite Polish has a shelf life of 2 years from purchase, for best result, use within 1 year of opening
